Natalya tugged at the skirt of the new dress her sister had bought for her the other day. It was a spaghetti strap dress, pink with cute, white flowers at the bottom of the skirt and a little pink bow on her chest, it lightly touched her knees, in her hair was her usual white bow and on her feet were white doll shoes. All in all, she looked adorable.

“I look ridiculous, I feel ridiculous,” she mumbled to herself as she examined herself in her full body mirror.

Katyusha came into the room and squealed on how cute her sister looked.

“Oh, you look like a little doll!”

“And that’s the last thing I wanna look like!”

“Come now Natalya, you look wonderful, and (m/n) is going to think so as well.”

Natalya heaved a sigh, “Well he better, otherwise, I’ll never forgive you.”

The doorbell sounded through the house.

“Oh! That must be him, I’ll go and distract him while you put any finishing touches on yourself,” Katyusha walked downstairs to open the door, “Hello there! You must be (m/n)!”

“Uhhh, yeah.”

“I’m Katyusha, Natalya’s older sister, it’s nice to meet you.”

“Oh, likewise. Is she ready?”

“You’ll have to give her a minute, this is her first date after all.”

“Is that so?”

“I’m coming!!” Natalya gently shoved her sister out of the way, “umm, hello (m/n).”

He didn’t answer back, his face was the same bright pink as Natalya’s outfit.

'She’s . . . . . . so cute . . . . .'

“(m/n)? Hey, are you ok?”

He finally managed to snap out of his thoughts and respond, “O-oh uhh . . . . . you look amazing Natalya.”

They both now had matching faces.

“Eh, th-thank you.”

“Well then, have fun you too, and be sure to have her back before it gets dark!”

“I will!”

They both were eating at a local diner after having watched their movie. Natalya made the mistake of telling (m/n) that any movie was fine and he ended up buying tickets to see the latest horror movie. Needless to say, Natalya was in his lap the entire movie.

“That wasn’t funny,” she huffed, stabbing at her pasta noodles with her fork.

“For me it was. Usually, you’re the one scaring people, I never knew the Freight Queen can be so easily scared herself.”

“Hey!!”

(m/n) chuckled, “But for what it’s worth, sorry about that. Although it was partly your fault for telling me any movie was fine.”

Natalya sighed in defeat as she shoved some pasta into her mouth.

“Oh, Natalya?”

“Hm?”

(m/n) leaned over slightly and with a napkin, wiped the cheese sauce on the corner of her mouth.

“You should slow down, your food isn’t going anywhere,” he said with a grin as cheesy as her dish.

She blushed and nodded as she slowed down. For the rest of the meal, they shared about eachother’s lives, their dreams and goals, and their interests. As they talked, (m/n) was able to see past the emotionless mask Natalya would always wear at school, she was actually a sweet girl that just had trouble expressing herself.

“So, I was hoping you could tell me something,” (m/n) said as their dessert came.

“Hm? What is it?”

“Uhh, don’t take this the wrong way, but I couldn’t help but to notice you chasing your brother around school in the past asking him to marry you. Mind telling me what that was all about.”

Natalya stared at her raspberry cheesecake before answering, “Well, wouldn’t you want to spend the rest of your life with someone who’s only been kind to you?”

“Huh? Well yeah but, he’s your brother, it’s kinda his duty to be nice to you. I think that goes for someone you don’t have a relation with.”

“But it shouldn’t matter that we’re siblings, I love him with all my heart! It’d be better then marrying a random stranger.”

“You’ll see someday Natalya, someday, I think you’ll fine a nice guy who loves you just the way you are.”

“I highly doubt I’ll ever find anyone like that.”

“You never know, life is full of surprises.”

“Hm.”

When they were finished with their food, (m/n) paid the bill and they walked to the nearby mall. They really didn’t plan on buying anything, just maybe window shop and if there was something they really wanted, they would buy it. (m/n) was walking by a jewelry stand when something caught his eye. He stopped walking and Natalya turned to him.

“(m/n)?”

“Wait right here!” He quickly walked to the stand, talked with the vendor, and then he was handed a small, white box. After paying the vendor, he walked back to Natalya.

“Here,” he held it out to her, “a little something for you to remember today by,” he said with a smile. Natalya’s face became pink. No one outside her family has ever gotten her a gift before. With a shy “thanks,” she accepted the box and opened it. Inside was a silver chain with a charm at the end. Upon closer inspection, she saw that it was the Russian flag.

“(m/n) . . . . . . you didn’t have to give me this.”

“But I really wanted to. Oh! Ummm,” he took the necklace out of the box and unclasped the hook from the loop, “may I?”

Natalya took a minute to realize he was asking if he could put it on her, when she did, she turned around and pulled her hair out of the way, blushing greatly as she felt the cool metal of the chain touch her neck. After it was clipped in place, Natalya turned back around.

“You look even prettier with it on.”

“Uhhhh, thank you.”

After a while longer, (m/n) thought it’d be best to take Natalya home. As they walked back, (m/n) embarrassingly announced that he had to go to the bathroom. They stopped by a local park and (m/n) left to go find some bathrooms while Natalya waited for him on a bench. She fingered the necklace he gave her and a small smile ghosted over her face.

“Hmph, why’d he take you of all people!?” a voice suddenly shouted. Natalya’s head snapped up and was met with Sonia’s face. She glared at her and asked,

“What on earth are you talking about?”

“Going to the movies. Eating together. Walking around in the mall. (m/n) should be doing those things with me!!”

Natalya narrowed her eyes at Sonia, “ I don’t know what more disturbing, you following (m/n) and I around, or the fact you even knew about our date. Tch, and they call me the weird stalker.”

“I wasn’t stalking!! I was just watching over him!!”

“That’s exactly what I say when I watch my brother, and yet, you and your little lackeys make fun of me for it.”

“Enough about that! He even went as far as to get you a gift!”

Before Natalya could react, Sonia reached out and yanked the necklace off of her neck, quite painfully, leaving a straight, red mark around her neck where the necklace was.

“Ow!” Natalya let out, not expecting that course of action at all.

“I’ll be taking this, (m/n) bought it right? It was meant for me.”

Natalya had enough of this. She stood up and glared violently at Sonia.

“Give. It. Back!”

“Heh, as if. The famous (m/n) (l/n) bought this with his own money, how can I ever give this back?”

Without warning, Natalya lunged forward and took back her necklace, pushing Sonia down to the ground for good measure.

“Owie!!”

“Next time I wont be so easy on you!”

“Hey! What’s going on over here!?” A group of three boys were walking fast towards them, one of them was helping Sonia up. She quickly saw this as an oppritunity and began to cry some fake tears.

“She-she took my necklace away and pushed me down,” she said, pointing at Natalya, “she’s always bullying me at school and wont just leave me alone.”

Natalya knew this wasn’t good, now Sonia had three full grown guys on her side, and with her fake story and tears, she was sure that she isn’t gonna be able to get the real story through to them as easily.

“Oh? Hey you, give her back her necklace!” one of them ordered.

“No! It belongs to me, she’s the one who took it!”

“Oi! Don’t think just because you’re a girl that I’m gonna go easy on you!”

One of them grabbed Natalya harshly by the wrist and started to squeeze, trying to get her to let go of the necklace, “Now give it back to her and apologize!”

Natalya let out a pained gasp as she struggled to keep her hold on her precious necklace.

“L-let go!!”

“No you let go, or I’ll break your wrist.”

Before the guy could put anymore pressure, a fist came flying out of nowhere and clobbered him right in the face, sending him backwards to the ground.

“What the-!?” his friends said in unison.

“Hey, didn’t your moms ever tell you to never hurt a girl!?”

“(m-m/n)?” Natalya said, rubbing her aching wrist.

“Ugh!! That hurt!!” the boy got shakily up to his feet, “who the hell are you?”

“Me?” (m/n) wrapped an arm around Natalya’s shoulders and pulled her close to him, “I’m her boyfriend!”

Natalya’s heart beat a mile a minute when she heard those words. Sonia, forgetting about her little act, walked up to him and began to wail out, “No! You’re supposed to be my boyfriend!! She’s a nobody, she doesn’t deserve you!”

(m/n) shot a death glare at her, a dark aura surrounding him.

“You shut your mouth. You don’t know her like I do. She’s the most wonderful, loving person I’ve ever met, you’re the one who can’t compare to her. Just get lost, I don’t wanna see your sorry, fake face outside of school ever again.”

Sonia was shocked, but tried to reason with him again, “But (m/n)-”

“LEAVE NOW!!” (m/n) roared.

Real tears now filled Sonia’s eyes as she ran away from the scene.

“As for you guys, mind telling me why you’d even consider laying a finger on my girlfriend?”

The group explained what happened to (m/n) and he had to sigh.

“Honestly.”

The group gave Natalya their deepest apologies and went their way.

“Hey, you ok?” (m/n) asked when they were alone.

“Y-yeah,” Natalya said. (m/n) gently took her wrist and examined it, it was still bright red with the fingers imprinted on it. He brought it up to his lips and kissed it. Natalya wanted to take her hand back, but couldn’t, she was to much in shock of what was happening before her. (m/n), one of the most popular guys at her high school, was kissing her wrist like she was some sort of princess. He looked up to her and asked, “Better?”

She didn’t respond as she pulled back her wrist.

“Um, hey, sorry for what I said about you being my girlfriend, I knew I had to say something a little extreme to get them to leave you alone.”

“Uhhh . . . . . that’s ok . . . . I didn’t mind much.”

Natalya looked down at her necklace, relieved when she saw that the clasp was unbroken from when Sonia yanked it from her neck.

“Here,” (m/n) took it from her hand, “allow me.”

He put it back around her neck, “There we go.”

“Th-thank you for saving me . . . .”

“Hey, your sister and brother would have my head if something were to happen to you. Speaking of which, we better get going, it’s starting to get dark and I promised your sister I’d have you before then.”

(m/n) turned to start walking, but was stopped when he felt Natalya grab onto his sleeve.

“Eh? Natalya?”

“(m/n) . . . . . . .”

She suddenly grabbed at his face with both her hands and pulled it down to her level, pressing her lips against his. (m/n)’s eyes widened at this sudden action, but after it registered in his brain what was going on, he relaxed and surprised Natalya by wrapping one of his arms around her waist and caressing her cheek with the other while kissing her back. Natalya felt like fireworks were going off in her stomach.

This with (m/n). It just felt so right.

So special.

They parted and looked into eachother’s eyes.

“(m/n).”

“Y-yeah?”

“You are something special. The surprise in my life. Marry me!”

(m/n) blushed at her choice of words, but knew this was her way of showing her affection. He took her hands into his and kissed her knuckles.

“I think that’s my line,” he said with a chuckle. He got down on one knee, still holding her hands.

“Natalya Bragingski. You’re the most interesting girl I’ve ever met, something truly special. We’ve only spent a day together, but I can already say I wish to spend the rest of my days with you. Marry me.”

Natalya’s eyes watered.

Never had anyone asked her to marry them.

She threw herself at him, knocking them both to the grass and hugging him tightly.

“D-da! Yes I will.”

“I’m glad to hear it. I love you Natalya.”

“Я люблю тебя.”

~Extended Ending~

“Big sister!! I’m home!!”

“Oh welcome back! Did you have fun on your date?”

“Da. (m/n) and I are engaged now.”

“Eh?”

“Heh heh, guess this makes you my future-sister-in-law.”

“EHHHH!!? Y-you actually agreed to this (m/n)!?”

“Uhh, yeah . . . . . is there something wr-?”

“Oh this is wonderful!! You’ve finally found someone other then brother you wish to marry!!”

“MMMMMMMPPPPHHHHH!!!?”

“Big sister you’re killing my fiancé!!”

“Whoops!!”

“Uuuuughh . . . . . wow those things are huge . . . . .”

“That’s what happens when double D mets double dumb.”

“Natalya!!!”
